Department of EPIDEMIOLOGY & PUBLIC HEALTH PhD Program
The applicants should:
- Be graduates from a recognized university with degree of Masters in Veterinary Public health, Master of Public health with specialty of Veterinary Public Health, or other health science disciplines (Master’s degree in other Veterinary sciences and health sciences including MSc in epidemiology, microbiology, parasitology, pathology, tropical infectious diseases with thesis). Other health sciences applicants should audit courses, if they did not take courses, which is relevant to the PhD program for Veterinary Public Health, and the issue of whether examination is required or not about the audited course will be determined by the department.
- MSc degrees only with research are not eligible
- An applicant should have a minimum of two years services after securing MSc.
- Letter of sponsorship is required, if the applicant is sponsored
- Met all the admission requirements of the University of Gondar.
- Submit a PhD research project concept note in the area of VPH (zoonosis, foodborne infection or intoxication or food safety issues) and submit a testimony of financial support or a letter of sponsorship from sponsoring organization.
- Two letters of recommendations are required, preferably one from the advisor.

The applicants should:
The applicants should:
- be graduates from a recognized university with a degree of Masters in Veterinary Epidemiology and related fields. Applicants outside Veterinary epidemiology background should audit course of Veterinary epidemiology and Biostatistics at master level.
- met all the admission requirements of the university of Gondar as stated in the Senate legislation, and Postgraduate policy and guideline of the university of Gondar
- submit a well formulated PhD research project concept note
- bring two recommendation letters one of which is form former academic mentor/supervisor.
